For Butler, Blake & Grant their eponymous LP brings a beautiful conclusion to 3 years of casual acquaintance, impromptu performances and late-night rambles in the sitting room of Norman Blake’s Clyde Valley cottage. From these laid-back beginnings, a bond formed over a combined songbook spanning 5 decades of incredible music.
Support from Ergo Schmidt
Ergo Schmidt writes songs that are “joyously melancholy…detached from tedious musical trends and scenes, instead fascinated and driven by melody, heartbreak and agriculture.” (Chaiwallahs). He’ll be joined by Joe O’Keefe, a “bewilderingly talented multi instrumentalist creating haunting fiddle airs and hooks” (Songlines Magazine) who has played with a diverse range of artists from Midge Ure to Sam Lee to Bernard Butler and Jessie Buckley.
